Oct-Nov 2023 Newsletter

The Sisterhood of St. Nicholas Church is beginning a new round of autumn lunches.  These lunches are for fellowship and all donations go towards church vestments,  decorations, renovations, maintenance and charitable donations.  Right now, we have October 22 and November 5 lunches scheduled.  We plan on a Thanksgiving themed lunch on November 19.  Please reach out to Valentina (vshatalova@earthlink.net) and Liza (lizabelikov@hotmail.com) to volunteer to bring food, buy supplies or setup/cleanup.

New Members are welcome at St. Nicholas!  A church can only function when there is a solid number of members committed in keeping the church and the faith alive. Membership dues also help build a solid base for church support. To become a member, one would need to be an Orthodox Christian and pay dues on a regular basis.    Please approach our treasurer or warden for any information that you may need.

The choir is also looking for new members.  Although most of our services are served in Slavonic, we have some materials transliterated and we do include some English in our services.  The choir is also a wonderful way to learn more about the faith! During rehearsals we often discuss the liturgical  importance of each piece that we are learning.     Please contact the choir director for more information.

 Please note that beginning in November, Saturday evening services are scheduled for 4pm.
